The artist whom I chose is Bob Dylan. I wrote the essay with the help. Bob is an artist whose original name is Ribert Allen. Bob Dylan is one of the artists who participated in opening up a cultural space for a sporadic voice to the Vietnam War during the early 1960s (Dylan, 2006). As Donald ventured into music, he was originally associated to folk music revival. At this point, the folk music revitalization was both political and cultural inn nature. The works of Dylan played very significant role in cultural evolution during the cold war and, Vietnam, and reform in the United States. Dylan wrote the song, “Blowing in the Wind” besides “masters in war” in the early 1960s.
Dylan’s songs played very significant role in indictment of militarism during the cold war. Later on, Dylan sung the song “with God on our side.” In this song, Dylan portrays that the notion that God plays favorite with countries and states as is regarded both foolish and crude. Dylan’s lyrics combined a revolutionist history of what a typical patriot should emulate. In his works, he gives what I can depict as a military complex. Though in some songs, he was very radical and portrayed a poor image to the people all over the world.
Dylan’s songs were instrumental in changing the way people viewed war. He instilled patriotism in the people of America and the entire World.
However, as the cold war and the hard authenticity of death was coming to reality, the shot up anti-war songs kept the pulse of personal and communal disputed again and again. The changes in musical attitude could be seen in both America and the Vietnam. Dylan’s songs paid very well an icon of a true patriarch would be.
The songs Dylan sang played very significant role in creating a favorable space for both cultural and political dialog in listeners mind and heart. Some of the lyrics by of Dylan were very resourceful product for extensive movement against the cold war. The melancholic tones roused the psychological feelings of most people in the world. His envisioning shaped and paved a good way for the world to understand all that it pertained.
Dylan became a very iconic artist during the 20th century. His works helped in developing culture during the cold war period among people. He guarded the belief of intercultural generation through his arts and songs. His extraordinary poetic power made his work to be much appealing to both hears and psychology of the American descents. His pieces of work again promoted cultural diversity and understanding among several generations. Dylan’s works were thus, very instrumental to building a cohesive America. His voice carries us across a very desolate, corrupt, and broken world that needs immediate amendment. As one listens to Dylan’s songs, you get swayed by the tunes, and their intellectuality enriches the songs (Bowden, 2001).
The artist is still viewed as a very important artist in the genre. His works are still regarded important even into day’s theater and to the mind and hearts. In the year 2014, the works of Dylan were reviewed, and his role in changing writing the rules for pop music were taken to be very instrumental. Dylan is seen a revolutionist who went beyond the emotional feelings and revitalized the challenges facing the society even in today’s society.
